Obsessing About ANOTHER Book

Hey. I'm probably the only one reading this, but whatever. Here we go...

Yesterday, I finished reading Starkissed by Brynna Gabrielson.

I liked this book. I started reading it at, like, midnight and stayed awake until 3 in the morning, just reading it. Then I woke up early and read it nonstop until I finished it. That means it's good.
I would give this one 4 stars. It was entertaining, but...there was some stuff that annoyed me a bit. Like, she didn't really like Grant the way he thought she did until the end, and she made some stupid mistake because she wasn't thinking about Grant.
Okay, overview so you're not confused.
Sydney Kane is ordinary, invisible. She is one out of six sisters, and all of them have the same blonde hair, tan skin, and blue eyes...except her. She's brunette, pale, and green eyed. Automatically, people assume that she's a cousin or something.
Anyways. Sydney takes a trip to NYC to visit one of her sisters--Alyssa--and ends up at a LIMA without her sister. She accidentally runs into a guy named Grant, with good looks, a perfect smile, and a guy that looks around every time he hears something strange. He kisses her outside, right in front of dozens of paparazzi.
Turns out, Grant was the famous Grant West--an actor that is huge. Sydney's life is turned completely upside down back home. People pretend to be her friend, everyone stares, and there's always the whispering. Finally, when things go back to normal, something else happens and she's back in the spotlight again. Grant comes back and apologizes, but she pretty much hates his guts.
Then he asks her on a date, wanting to get to know her. She refuses, since there is still Colin--the guy she's practically been in love with for over three years. He'd finally seemed a little interested, but then Grant came to town, scaring him off a bit.
She has to choose--Grant or Colin?

Okay, that was a bit long, but you get the idea. I could keep going for a long time, but I don't want to give it all away. The thing is...I'm happy with the ending, but not happy at the same time. I do like Sydney--she kind of reminds me of myself...very clumsy, invisible, and she sees things as they are, not how she wants to see them. The popular kids started talking to her, but she told them off, saying that they really didn't give a crap about her, so stop pretending you do. I liked that. The only thing I didn't like about her--and this wasn't her fault--was that she was easy to read. If she was even slightly uncomfortable or embarassed, her face was as red as a tomato.
I didn't really like Colin because he only really wanted her when she was taken. I didn't really like Grant because he cared a lot about how people saw him. When he kissed Sydney, it was because he didn't want to look pathetic in front of the press, since his famous ex was there with a date.
Other than that, I liked Colin, and I liked Grant. Granted, I liked Grant more, but that's because I've got a thing for zombie hunters, even if he's only the actor and isn't really a zombie hunter. He's just...soooo mighty fine.

Anyways, the title of the post wasn't lying, I'm obsessive. Wait... Arianna, Alyssa, Ava, Sydney, Angelina, and America! BOO-YA!! I can say all of the sisters, and I finished the book YESTERDAY, over twenty-four hours ago. Wow, I'm good.

More News--I know, I like saying 'news' in my titles!

Hello, everybody (even though I haven't been getting any pageviews, so this is like saying hi to myself)!

Okay, so I've finished a lot of books, but I don't really feel like telling you about them since it's getting a bit late. I also can't really talk to them because I finished, like, 6 yesterday, and I can't remember their names. They were good, though.

Anyways, I do want to talk about a tv show, Doctor Who. I know, I know, I'm obsessed with it a bit right now. I watched if for over 8 hours today, since I didn't have school. It was FANTASTIC!!!!
I wish I had the Doctor's intellegence, but he does kind of scare me sometimes. In an episode I just watched--Season 4, Episode 16 (and don't ask me how I remembered that) he was kind of freaky. It was the first time I'd ever seen the Doctor so...power crazy. He wasn't following his own rules; he changed a time that was fixed, and...I've never seen him like that. At least he immediately realized what he'd just done, what he'd just said, and he was normal again.
I would love to be the Doctor's companion. I would get to travel anywhere, to any time. I could see any planet or any star. I would get to help people, just like he does. I would do it in a second.

Okay, I'm exhausted. I think I'm going to go to bed.

Awesome News Everyone!

Hey! Sorry for the extended absence, but I've been reading a lot. And writing a lot, too. I have to do a ton of stuff for this Language Arts fair, and the deadline is in a month.

The news, of course, is about books. I looked at free teen ebooks on barnsandnoble.com and downloaded, like, fifteen free books.

So, here's some cool reviews and overviews from yours truly.

First up, Elemental: The First by Alexandra May.
I loved this book! And, to make it even better (and weirder to read) it was written by a British author! It takes place in England, in this small town that is notorious for the aliens that they believed lived there.
This girl, Rose Frost, is used to the constant moving. What is new about this next move is that she has to leave by herself. Her mother drops her off with her grandmother, Daisy, and leaves.
Rose has always been...different. She has a gift. She can heal people by great concentration and with the help of this silvery mist-like stuff that comes from her hands when she's doing it. But, along with healing, she can also kill things with that touch.
Now, she's having dreams of this warrior-like woman. Are they dreams...or visions?
That question is answered when they finally attack her, ready to destroy the last person with the gift.
And Aiden, is he good or evil? Is he with his grandfather or Rose?

If I had to rate the book, it would probably be a good, solid four stars. That's pretty good in my book.

Next...Dream Whispers by K.L. Bauman.
Kayde Harper is desperate for one thing, to make it to Canada; the place his grandpa lived once upon a time. Now that his grandpa is deceased, he wants nothing more than to escape Texas and see what was so great about Canada. That was before his motorcycle ran out of gas at the side of the road in the middle of a Montana snow-storm and he loses his wallet.
Becca just wanted to go into the city for just a minute, getting her friend a book he wanted at the library. But she neglected to check the weather. That was when she saw Kayde at the side of the road in all of his leather-jacket, bad-boy glory. She decides to help him out and take him into town.
Kayde is forced to stay in Montana for a month, his father's punishment for him losing his wallet.
That's what frightened Kayde the most, not getting to Canada and escaping the dark music constantly playing in his head, wanting to be released. He has the ability to make people do anything he wants when he sings, and these dark songs haunt him, but if he releases them, people will get seriously hurt and maybe even die.
He becomes acquainted with Becca a little more, and they soon fall for each other hard. That is, until Kayde loses it and releases a dark song, almost killing Becca accidentally. He ended up dying because of this stupid mistake, and Becca loses a few months of her life, in her memory. When she wakes up at the hospital a few days after the accident, she doesn't remember Kayde at all.
But he remembers her. He's now a ghost, an invisible ghost. One that can't be seen or heard at all.
What happens now? Will Rabecca ever remember Kayde? Who is sending her these strange clues of a Kayde Harper? What is a music mage?
Is Kayde really dead?

I give this a full five stars. I loved this book. It was practically impossible to put down! Being a music lover, I liked Kayde's power a lot. I also liked his determination; he wasn't going to let his dark gift overcome him and make him do something he'd regret.

Lastly, Eternal Eden by Nicole Williams.
Bryn Dawson recently transferred from Stanford to OSU (Oregon State University) for the middle of her sophomore year in college. That was when she met William Winters, a transfer student.
Being forced to give this new rich kid a tour of the campus on a Friday night, she is anything but happy. All she wanted to do was get through school without getting noticed. If she wasn't noticed, no one would find out about her past...about her parents and how it was her fault that they died.
Right when she sees him, she feels this attraction to him. She doesn't want to, but she does. The first time he touches her arm, she feels this electricity between their skin, like fate was entwining their destinies.
Mysterious, charming, and protective as William is, Bryn falls hard for him. Little did she know how long he'd searched for her, loving her, wanting to finally meet her.
After almost drowning and being saved by William, she's changed. She learns that there are two kinds of beings, Mortal and Immortal. She learns Williams hard Immortal life that he'd lived and how all of his sanity and hope came from a vision of one girl...her. She learns about all of the strange laws for the Immortals, and finds that she has to keep her relationship with William a secret, or else they could both pay a terrible price.
But things can only go on for so long before they're caught together.
Will Bryn and William both die for love? Or will just one of them die?

I think this was my favorite out of the three I've talked about today. This one is six stars out of five. I just LOVED this one! William is the perfect knight in shining armor, and I love Bryn's character. She's a fighter. She's determined not to let William get hurt, even if it means that they can't be together. She refuses to leave with him, knowing they'd kill him if they'd ever been found. I also like William, a lot. He does make some mistakes, but who doesn't? He's just worried about the girl he'd loved for over two hundred years.

Anyways, that's it for me. Sorry for the long post, I had a lot to catch up on. That wasn't even all of the one's I'd read. The other two were really short--less than thirty Nook pages each.

List of Books I Finished

Hey everybody!

So, I'm sorry about not being on as much. I've been reading and writing stuff for my Creative Writing class at school.

Okay, first on the list of books I finished, Defiance by Shelly Crane.
This is the third book of the Significance series, and this one begins with Maggie and Caleb at the Reunification meeting. Marla continues her dirty tricks and tries to get the council against them, since she was sooo jealous that Maggie is the Visionary.
ANYWAYS, this probably doesn't make any sense. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then read my previous posts about the first two books--Significance and Accordance.
Okay, now that you understand....
I liked this one. I really, really did. The imprints are all coming back, surprises are around every corner, there is a ton of action, and more surprises and action! I will say this one was good, but I can't say it was better than the other two. They were both really good, this one was also good, but I don't know...It's a tie between the first two on the ones I liked the most.

Now, second on the list is Independence by Shelly Crane.
Yes, this is the forth and final book in the Significance series.
This one is mostly about Maggie and Caleb's wedding! It was awesome! There were also a lot of surprises, and some mystery, in this one but it was different than the others. Marcus and the rest of the Watsons are gone...or are they? Then Caleb gets a dream about Maggie dying from a bullet--dying right in his arms. Is it a dream, or did he borrow Maggie's ability in his sleep and see a vision of the future? Did he marry Maggie just to see her die?
But, that can't be possible--when they imprinted, Caleb saw the visions that were farther off. Some of them hadn't happened yet.
But the future is never set in stone.

I thought this one was amazing! I was all...WOW! I loved the wedding and Jen and Maggie and Caleb and Fiona and Bish and Kyle and Lynne and Jim and Gran and Peter and Rachel...and more people. I just loved that the action and mystery didn't ever stop, and just because Maggie and Caleb are married does NOT mean that things are going to be simple and easy. No, that never happens with Maggie. She always gets challenging and life-threatening.

Next on that list...Blank Confession and I don't know the author.
Shayne goes into the police station, turning himself in for murdering someone.
The story goes from Shayne telling the story to it going to the first person POV of Mikey, and then it will go back to third-person of Shayne talking.
Who did he kill? How did Shayne--who is a sixteen year old that looks twelve--kill someone? What is he hiding?
To answer these questions, there is a simple answer. I don't know. I haven't finished the book yet.
I will say that it's good, even though I haven't finished it.

Okay, that's pretty much it for me right now. I'll tell you really quickly that I am rere....(infinity amount of re's)...reading the Lux series since it has been two months since I've read them all. I know--that's such a long time!!!!
I'm trying to fit all of them into one weekend, along with finishing Blank Confession. I don't think I can do it, but I'm sure going to try.

I've Finished More Books, So More Reviews and Overviews

Howdy y'all!!! Okay, I apologize for that. It won't happen again.

I finished some books today and yesterday, 2 to be exact, so bear with me here.

First up, Rogue Wave by Christie Anderson--I think that's the author, but I might be a tad confused.
This was the second book in the Water Keepers series, and I think this one was better than the first. Don't get me wrong, I liked the first one, it's just...Rayne and Sadie were finally together in this one. Well, actually, they "broke up" but they made up and it was incredible!!!! They actually kissed in this book! I was like "FINALLY!!!" and everything.
Okay, if you've been reading my blog regularly, you would realize that I talked about this exact book in my last post, but the difference is (just so you know) that I actually finished it so I can say how the ending made me feel. The end was so...awesome. Just awesome. I love Rayne--he is now on my mental list of my book-crushes--which is now very extensive. I read a lot--cut me a break!

Okay, the second book is Breathe by Abbi Glines.

 

 

I will say I have read this author's stuff before--with the Existence trilogy--and I was kind of cautious before reading this one. I will say I have nothing against this author...it's just I'm only fourteen and some stuff is a little too much.

I did really like this book--thanks Grace--I really, really, really,REALLY liked this book.

Sadie White is just trying to get through the summer working at a someone's summer mansion. She's seventeen and her mother is pregnant, forcing Sadie to go to her job in her place. So, it's up to Sadie to make sure there is food and the bill's been paid. Later, she realizes that the house she is cleaning and working at is the summer home of Jax Stone--teen hearthrob rockstar. She immediately is cautious around him, not wanting to get fired for simply being a teenage girl. Turns out, he gets a little too interested in her. He starts talking to her and tries to stay away from her because he knows that he could never be more than friends with her--like he really wants to be. He knows that he would have to leave her in September. But he couldn't stop himself from falling, and neither could she.

I know, all romance and stuff, but I don't know...I have a thing for books with rockers. It reminded me a little of one of my favorite books of all time--Rock and a Hard Place.

 

Okay, I gotta go--my little brother keeps buggin me about watching Doctor Who, so I've gotta run before I get so annoyed that I start screaming at him to shut up.

Exciting Updates (Wel...Exciting in my perspective)

Hey everyone!

So...I've finished a lot of books recently, so this might be a long-ish post--just warning you.
I've read a lot, so here we go!! These are the exciting book updates:

First on the list... Do Over by Emily Evans.
I enjoyed this one--it was very entertaining. It was a little bit annoying at some parts--since I'm not really a girly-girl and they were talking about clothes and hair and prom. But I did in fact like Trey.
Anyways. Do Over was about this girl--Paisley--who is the leader of the prom committee (aka Sparkle) and they'd raised $50,000 for the senior prom. The football players and her dad (the coach) took the money without her conscent and spent it on a Jumbotron. So, she has to pick up the pieces and try to make the best prom ever. It's all she can focus on because she thought it was the way she could get her parents together. During the book, you get to see her and Trey--a jock from the school--grow closer into almost-friends. He isn't a dumb jock, but he is the kind of guy that has a different girlfriend everyweek, and sometimes goes to a party with one girl and leaves with another. He's that kind of guy. I don't know though...I liked him. He never really gave up, never really relied on anyone. He liked doing things himself.
I would give the book four stars. I liked it, all things considered. It's not really my kind of book, but I liked it. I also liked Paisley's dad's girlfriend Aster. I know I should hate her, since she was her dad's girlfriend, but she was so cooooolll!!!!

Second, The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I won't say who it's by, since everyone knows that book.
I never finished it. I barely even started it. Bailey took it back, since she needed it for a Literary thingy in Creative Writing. That is all I have to say about it.

Third, Rogue Wave by Christie Anderson.
I am only a third of the way through it, but it is really good so far. It's the second book in the Water Keepers series, which I meantioned several times over my Christmas Break posts. This one is amazing so far! Rayne and Sadie kissed!!!!! I was all "FINALLY!!!" It was wayyyyyy overdue. They hadn't kissed at all in the first book, even though they were bonded. I don't know...This one is interesting. Sadie has to have the Healing Water every 24 hours to survive, or else she can't control her emotions and passes out. Rayne is in charge of protecting her, keeping an eye on her, and giving her the daily doses of Healing Water. That being said, he didn't use any on himself--he can go a few weeks without dosing himself, but he still needs it. He waited until he was practically empty, using it all on Sadie. Then, when he was supposed to get more, it was stolen. Yep, that's as far as I am. It reveals some more things about Voss and Ash (father and son guys that were villians in the last book. Except Ash helped Rayne and then regretted it, since his father almost died because of it). You also learn that if you get involved, then you can't get out of it. Someone close to Sadie's mom got involved, and Sadie found out, and I was like "What the heck?" and thinking about how crazy that was.

 

 

 

Yeah, I think y'all have had enough for one night. I will give you my current reading list for the weekend.

I probably won't get to the last two, but I'm hoping to get through at least #3.

News, News, Random News That Come Straight From My Freaking Out Brain!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone! Did ya miss me?! I doubt it, since y'all aren't viewing! Come ON people!

I'm just kidding. Yes, I wish my blog was more popular, but what can you expect from a socially rejected nerd geek that lives in the middle of freakin nowhere!? Yeah, I didn't expect much.

For those of you who ARE looking at this... I did finish Matched...I don't know who the author is and I'm too lazy to look it up, so deal with it. And it's a best-seller, so you probably know the trilogy...Matched, Cross, and Reached.
Anyways, I didn't really like it all that much. I have absolutely nothing against people who DID enjoy it, I'm just saying it's not really the book for me. I'm more of an action with a little romance kind of gal--it HAS to have some action.
Reasons I didn't really like Matched:

1. It didn't have action.
2. It was a love triangle--which I don't really like. I did read Twilight and The Hunger Games and enjoyed both of them, but I knew who was going to end up with the girl in both of those. I don't like it when they just CAN'T decide, because they're in love with both! I just hate it. Some girls don't get one guy, but girls in books get BOTH guys?
3. It kind of dragged on for me.
4. It was repetitive.
5. I had a ton of other stuff to read, but I had to read this one. It kept me from reading a book that I've been DYING to get. I know it's not Matched's fault, but STILL *I scream in a whiny voice*!!!!!

Yep, those are the reasons. I did enjoy parts of it, though. I did enjoy the futuristic thing, but even that was a bit extreme. I would give this book 3 stars.

On to other stuff....
Right now, if I had to rate myself on a scale of 8 to 14 on how crazy I am with 8 being my normal self and 14 being to ALMOST Bailey's level, I would rate myself at a freakin 13.8! Yesterday, I forgot to turn in my Algebra homework until the end of the hour! That might not be a big deal to you, but think about it...that is a week's worth of work, since we turn in all of our homework from the last week on the day after the weekend. If we don't turn in our homework before the tardy bell starting class, we lose half credit! It's like I didn't turn in 3 days worth of assignments.
And then all of this other stuff has happened and I just can't focus on anything. I feel like I'm just losing it.
Right now, I get about 8 hours of sleep...Why am I still tired? Every second I'm tired. I just...don't know what's going on. I am really stressed, and I know that makes you more tired, but I'm sleeping! And I can't remember anything from the day before. I'm just lost on everything. If you ask me what happened yesterday morning or what today's date is, I wouldn't be able to answer! It sucks.

Okay, I'm done with freaking out via internet. How's your day going?

Richie is bugging me about watching Doctor Who, but I can't. HE WON'T STOP BUGGING ME! WHY!? DOESN'T HE SEE THAT I'M ALREADY STRESSED AND FREAKING OUT!!!!

And someone from my past said hi to me in the hallway today. Why? I don't want to talk to him. I don't even remember what we disagreed about a long time ago, but seriously...he just does that to annoy me and I have HAD IT!

This is getting really long. I'm sorry. For those of you who made it this far....

Yes, I'm SUPER busy reading all of these, since I've started almost all of them. I am planning on reading them during the 3-day weekend, but I know I can't read all of those in 3 days, and I have to spend a little bit of time in the real world.

More Book Reviews and More Contemplation on Random Things from my mind...

Hey y'alls! It's been a few days.

Sorry, I've been reading a lot, and finishing a lot of books, but I've been to busy to review them.

First, I will start off with talking about Guardian by S.B. idk the last name of the author, so deal with it.
It was good--all things considered. It was a little confusing, but I caught on. The ending made me mad, though.
In the end, something happens to Gabe, Abby finds out about the angels and demons--right at the end--Raph tries to save Gabe. 1) You don't know if Raph succeeds. 2) She finds out right at the end that she isn't human. 3) It never tells you what  she is. She isn't a demon, human, or angel. What is she? The whole book was about angels protecting her because she isn't human! Those were the problems I had with it. The climax was the end and there was no resolution--that bugs me when books do that.

Second book I finished... Accordance by Shelly Crane (I think that's the author--I'm about 92% sure. I've been reading a lot, so I could be confused. I'm pretty sure it's Shelly Crane)

I liked it. It is the second book in the Significance series--which I talked about at the end of December about how amazing it was. This book didn't have as much action as I would have liked--or much conflict with outside characters. This one was Maggie dealing with her brother Bish--how he knows she's lying about things but she won't tell him what's going on for real. There is also conflict with Kyle--who is Caleb's cousin, he was in love with Maggie but can't be with her since she's Caleb's significant. Also, there is conflict with Caleb--himself. He doesn't know what his ability is yet (but you find out what it is in this book--if he has one, I'm not going to give you that definite answer.)
There is still conflict with Sikes, but that's in the end, and a little bit of annoyance from Marcus at the beginning. Marla--Marcus's sister--is in this one.
I am definitely going to continue the series. It's weird to think that in the second book, Caleb and Maggie had only known each other for 2 weeks--TWO WEEKS. It feels like they've known each other for months. Caleb almost proposes in this book--key word being almost (he was interrupted by Kyle) but Maggie still answers, so...all is well. TWO WEEKS!!!

Book #3: First Love by........
I hated this book. I thought the beginning was fine--good enough to buy for $2--but then in the middle and end...it was terrible. I will just say it was not meant for people under the age of...I don't know. Not for 15 and below maybe? It had some inappropriate material in it. BAD!!! I was really disappointed since I was kind of wanting to read it to find out what happens with Eric and Emily, but I didn't really enjoy it. It was terrible. Just...don't read it. Please! I give it 1 star! I DIDN'T LIKE IT!

I have more books to review, but this is getting really long...so...

Update

Hey everyone!

I am still currently reading Guardian--I'm just dragging it out a bit since a lot of stuff is going on right now. It is at its climax, so I'm excited.

I finished the first season of Doctor Who! I was so sad when the 9th doctor died! I will miss him--I loved his grin the best. I like the 11th doctor's hair the best, and I like the 10th's basic crazy look. I think if they are one of the doctors, there has to be a crazy factor. I think the 9th, 10th, and 11th doctors had that down perfectly--that's why I love the show.

I have not began reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower yet, even though Bailey really wants me to. One thing at a time is what I say. I'm watching Doctor Who and reading Guardians--that's already two things, I don't think I can take any more than that.

Random Awesomeness From ME!

Hey everybody! How are you doing on this lovely day?

I am currently reading Guardian by S. B. something. It is really good, I enjoy it a lot. There are some things about it that are annoying, but other stuff is okay. The author is British--I think. I love that kind of stuff! They spell stuff so much cooler! And their pronunciations sound more....posh--I'll go with posh. I can NOT do a good British accent--I'm not too talented with that kind of thing.

Today, in my English class, we were talking about types of nonfiction. We then read a story that was actually a blog about the Mars rover Spirit. We talked a lot about the importance of having a journal, and that's what a blog is...a journal. The difference is blogs are online, everyone can see them, and they have the most recent first. I thought it was funny how we were talking about how important it is to journal and blog, and that's what I do practically every day.

By the way...I did put a question on my right sidebar--under the book covers. If you are on my blog, please answer it. It is just an opinion type of thing--there is no wrong answer.

Right now, I am currently reading The Starter Boyfriend by someone that I can't remember. Usually, I don't read this stuff, but I thought it would be funny.
This girl, Courtney, works at Tux Everlasting, and has decided that her starter boyfriend is this mannequin that she named Tux--referring to the fact that he is wearing a tux *gasps in shock at that surprise*
Anyways, there is this surfer dude that is now her friend--Adam. I will say that I don't particularly like him--he's a little rude. But that is just an opinion. BACK TO THE BOOK! (Sorry)
Okay, Courtney is driving with Tux in her passenger seat--which was just plain stupid since he's not hers--and she gets out for a minute. When she comes back--shocker--Tux is gone. Adam helps her find him--I think, I haven't actually gotten that far yet.
I don't really like some of Courtney's personality either. She steals (or as she says, "temporarily borrows") a mannequin so she can drive. I don't really get her logic on that, but whatever. She says she no longer likes Adam, but she really does, you can tell. She is secretly dating a MANNEQUIN that she named TUX. I don't know, it just seems so...weird. She's a dork.
There is a lot of humor in it--for me at least...my sense of humor is different than most peoples'.

I also finished reading Twilight again. I know, why read that again, but I didn't really want to read any of my other books and it had been over a year since I'd last read it, so I thought Why not?

I also now have an obsession of Doctor Who--it is a tv show on Netflix. It is AWESOME! Like I said, weird sense of humor. I actually only watched the first episode to humor Bailey--who is even more obsessed than me or my brother. My sister thinks it's stupid, but she lies!
I'm still on the 9th doctor, and I've gotten a little attached to him. He's funny and can grin at the strangest situations. It's awesome. I also really like Rose, even though some of her choices are stupid--like hesitating when he asked her to come with him on an adventure of a lifetime--one filled with adventure, mystery, and danger. I would not hesitate for that. EVER!

Yep, there's the update. The news in the title was all of the above ^
I would just like to say...HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACHEL! I had to announce that since I know you check my blog really frequently.  I wrote a poem...

Roses are blue
Violets are red
It is very true
That you're my friend!

(Yeah, it had nothing to do with your birthday, but I'm no good with poems. Just go with it.)

Here's one that I didn't write, but it's funny.

That one is epical.

The Biggest Shocker Ever

Hey guys! What's up?

So, I have some news...
I finally have access to Throne of Glass by something Maas....anyways, I finally got it at the library, and I get home to read it and...I decided not to read it all.
Just so you know...I have nothing against the book or the author, it's just.....I waited months to read it and I think I just waited so long that it lost it's appeal to me. I just skimmed through it to find out which guy she ends up with and I was really disappointed in the end--because I liked the other guy.

Another thing--me and Bailey geeked out today. She wanted to go to Neverland, so we did, and it was awesome. Mostly, though, we just hung out. We watched two movies--Land of the Lost and Hackers. I hadn't ever seen Hackers, but it was pretty cool and funny. I own the other one, so I've seen it a lot.

I wish I would have read Rangers Apprentice, but (and don't kill me Rachel) I don't think I'm going to finish it either. That is the biggest shocker ever--me not finishing two books in one week.
I could get in to it, but it doesn't hold me as much as other books do. I'm also no good with all of the castles and midevil stuff--I like more modern stuff.
I just don't really see the point in reading about guards and knights and seeing names that I have no hope of pronouncing correctly. Again--nothing against it, it's just not really my thing. I can't focus when I'm reading it--I don't know what it is. Me and Rachel like some of the same books, but other stuff, like mid-evil and dragons--are her thing, and books that are more realistic are more my thing. We both do like some of the same paranormal romances *cough--lux series* and some other stuff.

Anyways, that's the update on all things me. I'm sorry again to Rachel--I haven't decided if I'm going to stop reading Ranger's Apprentice, I'm just not sure I'll finish it.

I guess I'll let you get back to your life, just like I need to get back to mine.

Okay, This Is One of the Best Books I've Read All Month!!!!

Hey peoples!

Sorry about yesterday's absence--I had to go see the family. I got lip gloss--not to be ungrateful or anything....but lip gloss. I'm about as tomboyish as you can get and I get lip gloss? It smells pretty though--too bad I ain't gonna wear it. I also got socks and a snowflake pencil. So, it was a pretty good day.

I mostly read yesterday--and I stayed up past 6 am reading, trying to finish the book. It was a lot longer than it appeared on Nook. But this morning, I looked it up, and it was 4 dollars! I'm sooo glad I bought it yesterday--I only bought it for 1.
Okay, the book was called Significance by Shelly Crane. It was really....interesting. It did have imprinting on it--kinda like Twilight but with Aces instead of werewolves.
This girl--Maggie (yes, that is her real name, not a nickname)--has had a hard year. Her mom left for no good reason and her dad was so depressed he ignored her and was mean or indifferent to everything that had to do with her. The night after graduation, she's walking--getting away from her dad--when she sees a guy walking across the street and a truck coming.
She saves him and it turns out--he is the cousin of the guy she was about to go out on a date with. After on touch, Caleb--the cousin--imprints on her right in front of Kyle--the guy she was about to leave with. Yeah, that would suck for Kyle, but I personally like Caleb better anyways.
There is this brawl between families and rival clans, and Maggie is dragged right into the middle of it all, with her soul mate saving her--just like she did with him.
People are after her. Since Caleb imprinted on her, they are both waiting to ascend--or get their powers that come anytime after the imprint. These people don't want them to ascend--knowing her gift will be really powerful.
No one had imprinted on anyone else in 20 years--add that to the fact that she's only seventeen, and the imprinting age is in your early 20s.
So Caleb has to protect her from everything--the rival clan....everything that wants to harm her.
Then her dad comes out of it and decides to become her father again--making everything more difficult since she can't be apart from Caleb very long before getting a terrible withdrawal pain. So she has to lie to him--about Caleb and about herself. Once--and if--she ascends, she'll no longer be human, she'll be an Ace...just like Caleb.

I know that is a lot of info--but the book is really long and I didn't even put in as many details as I should to get you to understand it more. It was really long--but I love long books. I love books that take me forever to finish because then there is more to the story--and it's a long read. Since I read books so fast, I like having books that take a day or maybe more--even if I read nonstop.

I think now I'm gonna read some other stuff and see if the second book ever gets cheaper--since it's 5 bucks and I only have 10  week and I am NOT spending half of it on one book unless the series is called Lux--which it's not.

What actually got me to stop and look at Significance--which is an ironic story--the cover had a picture that I'd seen before--it was on a Lux website. It was the cover models of the Lux series! I thought that was awesome.
If you're observant and obsessed about books enough--things might surprise you if you look closely.

More Books Read, Still Have More to Start

Hey, peoples!

I know this is my second post for today, but I have to tell you I did more reading.

I finished a Novella? or is it Novellette? Something like that. It was called Actuality: A Teenage Vampire....something I don't remember. It was definitely Actuality. It was really good. It was a new vampire story--different than anything I've read. The vampireness was genetic, not them being undead.
I think the story could have been extended--it was way to short.
But I still give it 5 stars. It was awesome.

I still have several books to start and finish--Rachel's gonna kill me if I don't finish Ranger's Apprentice. I have to start reading it again. And start other books.

Yeah, that's it for me.
